I've replaced the door locks on four cars now and have noticed that with the
last two, the door locks required quite a bit more effort to turn than I had
expected. The first two were done three or four years ago and the last two
within the past six months, which makes me wonder if there's a parts problem
here ... that said, they have loosened up over time so it doesn't seem to be
fatal.

Also, I discovered the PS steering hose I replaced on my father's '91 100 not
too long ago is leaking again. I replaced the first two under warranty --
they were leaking right from the start -- and assumed the third hose would be
okay as it was continent. FWIW, all three were OEM hoses and marked "Gates"
under the rubber sheath ... this time, though, I am going to have it rebuilt
locally since I'm tired of changing hoses even if they are covered under
warranty.
