S4' new shoes

Just mounted a set of Sumitomo HTR Z2 235/45/ZR17 replacing a set of
SP8K Dunlops.
The Dunlops developed a sidewall separation on 2 tires, Western Tire
gave an warranty allowance for them, the other two were worn out.
Apparently Western has seen this before on Dunop 8K's.
Any one out there have a similar experience?

So far, I like the feel of these tires in turn in, ride comfort, and
handling.
Pretty darn sticky!
Anyone with any experiences to relate to these plain jane Dunlops (I
suspect that most people know that Dunlop is owned by Sumitomo)?
Western Tire was $2 cheaper per tire then Tire Rack.
