Actually, I've found a way to make it easy ... by stacking together about 30" 
of extensions, a flex joint and a 19mm socket, I can reach the banjo bolts on 
the steering rack from the *passenger* side of the car.  It's a bit tricky to 
find exactly the right angle but the extensions can be threaded between the 
top of the rack and the firewall.  You'll need to experiment a bit but you 
should be able to figure it out easily enough.
