Re: 4ktq wiring notes
sure, but check color codes. This is for 85' turbo. Similar to MC but
slightly different.
Blue wire with black connector. Ignition On.
Brown wire with stripes?? Goes to fuel Pump relay. this was on
its own as well. We had to pull the fuse box to find the connector. Pull
the black connector under the Fuel Pump relay and there is an empty socket
in one corner. Like inside corner towards the back of the car. I think
it is pin Bs or something. B is the connector location. S is the
location on that connector. (Personal Note, my 84' Fuse Box Panel has
to be changed out. 85+ 4kq's had the proper pinout for the turbo relay
but but my 84' is missing a hole that the turbo relay needs. Dont know
why, anyhow, if you have an 84' you may need to change the fuse box panel.
Not hard, just take your time and get it right.)
Now we are inot the 4 pin connector with 3 wires coming out of
it..... Yellow wiire is for dumping ocdes. I'm going to wire mine into
the OXS light since I have de-activated my light permanently anyhow. :-)
Now it will flash when I dump codes. The other wirgoes to the brake light
switch. NO Idea what this is for. DOes anyone knw????? Last wire is
blue and black and I ddont know what it is for but I dont think you need
it. Not sure yet.
Oh,m and of course the DUAL Reklays for the ISV goes over there
too but no custom wiring for that. Just plug the relays in to the socket
that is on the harness.

Oh,a nd make good connections. Dont want to have to troubleshoot
them. Good luck.
