Manual Trany Swap - Throttle Cable Issues

    I have been scoping out my Bentley and the first thing I noticed is that
the throttle cable(s) are different for my auto trany.  I have a set of
throttle cables that meet at a junction on top of the cylinder head.  The
pedal cable controls the junction.  The junction opens the throttle the same
way as is it was a single manual trany cable would.  Now the junction also
controls a cable that tells the trany how hard I am pushing on the pedal.
If I disconnect this extra auto trany cable will this work as a manual
straight cable would?  I assume it should be fine.
