plastic fabrication



I was going to stay away from this tread, BUT, what about a cold air
intake for the 5KT's?  The stock air horn LOOKS restrictive, and appears
MUCH too close to the turbo.  Rebuilding the air cleaner lid to make a
larger air horn and ducting it further front and further to the right
(inside the fender and down to that cool air) HAS to have benifits.  Any
thoughts?  Others out there done something like this that can be
reproduced (or at least repeated with typical garage type materials and
tools)?
Spare air cleaner lids abound in the junkyards, so sending one in as a
"core" would be easy to do.  Any others out there interested?

By the way, I, like Mr. Rose, am another one of the 7 million _other_
people who live in the_other_ 99% percent of New York *State*.
