A6 front bumper cover

It's because the A6 has a front bumper cover that doesn't give a
lot of ground clearance and the way it's attached to the body (with
its vertical cut line) makes it susceptible to becoming pulled out.
I always wonder though, why there are so many drivers who would
continue to inch forward in the parking space until the tire hits
the curb. That's just asking for trouble, bumper cover, oil pan,
you name it... Isn't it sufficient just to stop with a few inches
to spare in front of the car's nose?
I have an even lower front spoiler on my 4000 and have adopted a
very defensive parking (and driving) style when it comes to curbs
and ramps.
