The "tube" from the 87.5 coupe solves all that rigmarole.
These are from family pictures, which does not have a picture of these
three parts but does specify they are for the NG engine...

I don;t know if these are what i think they are, but if they are they
are a two piece ignition wire holder that says Audi on it and snaps
together and is partly shown here:

the bracket bolts in the same place as the cruise control servo
bracket. The pair of holes in about the center of the side of the head.
