Check the connection between the clutch master cylinder and the pedal
lever, Steve.  There probably is wear in the clevis of the MC, the pin, the
lever, associated bushing, etc.  Recent postings (last couple weeks) by
Brendan Coolian regarding the failure of this linkage  should tell you  all
about this problem.  If it's not that, the MC is failing.
