Snow Wheels For A4?

Hi Gang,
My wife just bought a new A4q, and since we live in an area with lots of snow, we want great winter performance. Her 80q had 6x15 wheels, upon which we mounted 195/15 Blizzaks, and the results were stellar. The A4q has 7x16 wheels. Here are the questions:
1. Would a 6" wheel be substantially better in snow with the same tire as a 7" wheel?
2. Does Audi make a 6" wheel that fits the car?
3. What is the narrowest snow tire you folks recommend for the A4q?
BTW, I'm chagrined to report that she had an S4 on order until she sat in an A4 with sport seats and decided they weren't comfortable!
