All of the 4ks I've owned -- same basic car, remember -- exhibited this 
characteristic to one extent or another (the oil temp readings also changed 
with the interior fan motor speeds).  In each case, I successfully cured this 
by running a separate power feed to the gauges directly from the fuse box.  
(Naturally, I could have also tracked down the problem source but this was 
much, much easier.)
