Au contraire, Jeff! Acutally, the nicest thing about the '87-'88 924s is that it
has *everything* from the 944, powerplant included. The only thing 924 about it
is the dashboard, the unflared fenders, and the 195/65/15 tires- chassis and 2.5
engine are all Porsche. I recall the road tests of the time saying it was
minutely (2mph?) faster at top speed than a 944- less frontal area. These were
killed off, apparently, by agreement with VW not to compete directly on price
with the '89 Corrado.
