I haven't gone back and checked my original remarks but if I wrote "944" I 
meant "944T" ... the turbo makes a *BIG* difference on these cars as does the 
LSD rear end.  Last May, I drove by one for sale every day for a month and 
had finally decided I was going to stop and check it out -- after a month, 
most used-car lots are getting antsy to move the car and IME, more willing to 
deal than usual -- but it wasn't there.  I later met up with the new owner 
and found out he paid a whopping $3,875 for the car -- I've seen people ask 
nearly twice that for them! -- and said it was in great shape to boot.
