Not to mention the airbag and padded knee bolster in place of the tray under 
the steering wheel...

To my knowledge, no U.S.-spec Audi ever left the factory with a two-piece 
manifold installed.  They were installed only as service upgrades under 
warranty which is why they do occasionally turn up on used cars and cars in 
salvage yards ... all the ones I've come across, though, were broken in the 
accident that totalled the car.  :^(
