first offer for CQ
Insurance is offering $8873 plus tax, which is 598.93, minus my
$500 deductible, so just under $9000 for the car. not bad.
What is bad is their salvage offer - $4200 for the car. That is almost
50%, and IMO ridiculous. I think they just don't want to see the car back
on the road, and are trying to dissuade me from buying it.
Opinions? I'm going to fax them a spreadsheet of my repairs along with
some current CQ ads.
On the new car front, I've located a 99 A4 Avant 1.8tq with sports package,
cold weather and sunroof. Black with ecru leatherette, early 99.
If I lease the car the price is just over $25000 which I think is really good.
I'm trying to decide if I should hold out for a '00 car, or perhaps wait
for a S6 sedan or wagon (I know, my wife keeps telling me to
make up my mind...)
Opinions on the "lease a 99 now, get $1750 back from Audi" or "wait for a '00
and get the car exactly the way you want it (I would add xenon lights,
and sport cloth interior)" would be appreciated.
