This is a driver problem not an engine problem but I understand the 
phenomenon.  Still, there's a LOT to be said for not having to put up with 
turbo lag...

Like I said, if you're going to spend more than $500 on the project, Iagree 
with you.  But if you already have the engine in the car -- say, an 87.5 
Coupe GT -- then the mods I outlined make more sense and will satisfy most 
people.
