It won't work for door dings, but I always use colour wax for scratches
through the paint. For surface scratches, use a mild cutting compound and
then wax.
Or you could touch up the scratches with the small touch-up cans (with the
brush in it, cheap from the dealer). Practice on less visible spots first.
Take some cutting compound to blend it in to the surrounding paintwork-
looks great. If your car has a clearcoat metallic, it's vital to use a
clearcoat on the repairs, too. It'll never look good without that.
