Ingo,
Although I'm not sure of the layout on pre-84 cars, your fuel pump relay is 
in relay position #10 in the fusebox under the hood. It will be taller than 
most, have a red and white circle sticker with a 3 on it, and have part # 443 
906 059.  If you can, get one from a scrapyard, any Audi/VW 5 cyl will do, 
because new they are around $100USD.  You can get by short term with one for 
a four cyl unit, but fuel cutout will occur at 80% of redline.
