Dan, I've had a set of '99 Xenon's up next to my Dad's '98 A4q 30v when I was
building the front end. They drop in with the same mounting points. The
harness plugs are the same, and trace all the way back into the cabin. That
indicates, and is backed up by the A6 Xenon's I've had apart, that all the
ignitor/ballast required by the Xenon is encased in the headlamp itself. A
plug n'play operation. Dad declined on them after seeing the cost factor,
even used. I held them for awhile longer and put them back on the shelf!
