That has puzzled me for years!  Audi and VW using bolts rather than a stud
and nut.  The real puzzle to me is because........I started in the business
at the dealer level with Volkswagen in 1966.
They have always claimed a stud and nut is stronger and better "clamping"
than a bolt, yet they insist on using wheel lug bolts!
