4KQ power window switches (won't work)

My bets on a broken wire at the door hinge. Peel back the corrugated
rubber seal, and you will see a black plastic conduit. Usually this
conduit breaks, causing the wires to flex at that point only, and they
fatigue out and break. Peeling back this conduit will usually expose
this problem. Best way to fix is to disconnect the power mirror harness
from its switch in the armrest, undo all the clips that hold the wire to
the door, and then feed the works back into the car where you can work
on splicing the wires and reinforcing the conduit with electrical tape.
You will have to remove the door panel (screws along bottom map tray and
armrest, and push in/ pop out tabs along the periphery. Also unscrew the
door lock pin and forward corner bracket). Also remove the forward piece
of floor carpet (about 9" square) mounted vertically alongside the left
foot rest (Trick!, one screw that holds this down is under the carpet on
the forward lower corner. Peel back carpet to expose phillips head
screw. Also unscrew the hood release (2 phillips)). Splice wires and
reassemble. Do it right, and you will not have to do it again. You won't
want to either.
