    Hmm, aside from that magizine article, lets consider the phisics behind 
lower profile tires.  When you reduce the side wall within a given aspect 
ration, you are effectively reducing a tires ability to absorb impact, and 
reducing the amount of compliance within the tire.  Lower profile tires run 
higher pressures for this reason.  Lets face it, a 195/30 tire would puncture 
if required to compress more than an inch or so, where a 196/75 could 
probably take a curb at the same speed and be unscathed.  I don't see how 
this could ever be a myth?
