Most Alfas use studs. On my 87 Milano Platinum I had to find ungodly deep lug 
nuts to reach the steel wheels (for snows) from a lesser trim level. The 
Milano had four trim levels in 87, Silver with steel wheels and alloys with 
Gold, Platinum and Verde. So here we would have had a manufacturing savings 
by going to bolts whereas studs require two lengths.
