The heads on these screws are so large in relation to the threaded portion
that most times, you simply have to use a bit that's large enough to remove
the head and stop drilling as soon it breaks free from the rest of the screw.
Then, if you're reasonably lucky, the threaded portion can easily be backed
out with some penetrating oil and vice-grips. Not always, of course, but my
lifetime avearge with them is probably .900 or better ... of course, I *do*
live in a desert, so maybe I've had it a little easier than most?
