spark plugs leak oil??!!?

Ok, here's the problem:
'88 90q 197k mi. Oil is leaking from three of the five spark plugs. Why? Could it be too much oil? I followed the suggestion from the list archives on adding a half quart of oil to quiet valve clicking a week or two after changing oil. It didn't leak before the extra oil. Oil level is about correct now, but still leaking. The car is new to me 'bout six weeks, so not much history. I dumped the codes and got 2123. No Bentley or owners manual yet, what does this mean?
