RE: snow tires for '00 S4
For listers where Hakka's are hard to come by (buy?), you may want to
check out Hankook winters. The tread is very similar to the Hakka's.
Caution!!!! Big Boast Coming UP!!
The Eagle GT's I have now are getting a bit thin and I figured I would
see if I could get some decent winters or all seasons from an auto
wrecker just to get me through this winter, and next spring buy some
good touring tires. Well, this particular wrecker had a set of 4 NEW
Hankook 919 studded winters in 195/60 15. They came off a Mustang.
Apparently this guy had just got them put on and thought his car was no
longer subject to the laws of inertia....
The monkey lad asked his boss how much and the answer was $150.
(Remember, I live in Canada) At first my jaw hit the floor cause I
thought he meant each, but when he said "for the set of 4" I couldn't
get the money out of my wallet fast enough!! No snow yet so I haven't
had a chance to put them through the paces. Won't be long though and
really looking forward to it!
