Re: Honda v. Audi

My `86 Coupe GT with 198,000 miles on it gave me no real problems up to
the point it was destroyed in a collision. And I was able to beat most
mid-80's Accords in late night street races. Not too shabby. But this
car was probably the exception, not the norm. Plus, I don't know what
kind of work/repairs the original owner(s) did to the car. I do know
that the 5cyl Audi motor is pretty much bullet-proof, IF TAKEN CARE OF!
If I remember correctly, didn't Honda still have that nasty rusting
problem back in `85? I owned a `78 CVCC stationwagon as my first car,
and it was literally eaten away by car cancer! And I live in San Diego!!!
Great car for a highschool student trying to get to his part-time job,
though.

Love, Like, or Just Plain Tolerate,
