I thought I comment about this, because I am also getting sick of repairing
my Audi and considering a Honda. My first car was a 87 Honda accord and
besides oil changes and a left CV joint . it gave me no troubles. I even
replaced the CV joint myself. Great first car. Now I have a 89 200 (175k)
and I am about to die in repair cost. True, the car drives great and feel
real solid, but all the repairs is kinda hard for a collegeman who is trying
to make it though the hard times.
I am well aware the car's engine is bullet proof. HECK, I never had a
problem with the engine since I bought it(besides the injectors). But the
tranny, electric, etcetc. is starting to pile up. I was just informed from
the dealer that it will cost 1600 for the steering rack and replacing a few
hoses. And also the airbag has decided to crap out and thats another 1k
there. brings me to a grand total of almost 3k.
Just wondering if it is all worth it......
