Signs of worn center support bearing?
A couple days ago I begun to hear a rubbing/ shhh noise at very low
speeds. The noise is most noticeable when coasting to a stop. Its
perdiodicity seems higher than that of the wheels making me think that
whatever is making the noise is turning faster than the wheels.
The list of suspects include:
a. Brake pads.
b. Brake rotor shelds.
c. The shield under the right innver CV.
d. The center support bearing of the driveshaft.
The first three are easy to check. However, I have no idea how to
inspect the center support bearing. Could anyone give me some pointers?
Thanks
Andrew
