RE: ur-quattro IST documents, service training books are still av ailable

NOTE: I have no affiliation with Dyment or any other commercial distributor

I followed Steve's Buchholz advice and called Dyment 1.800.544.8021 looking
for the following:

WSP 451 556 00 - Audi Quattro Introductory Service Training Manual
[ur-quattro]
WSP 452 557 00 - Audi Quattro Maintenance and Adjustments Manual
[ur-quattro]

The service was helpful and friendly, but had a hard time understanding that
I was only looking for "Quattro" not 4K or 5K stuff.  They did not have the
Audi Quattro Maintenance and Adjustments Manual (WSP 452 557 00) but did
have the Introductory Service Manual (WSP 452 557 00).  I also ordered an
Owners manual at the same time.  Total came to $24.XX, $10 a piece and $4
s/h.

I received my 'copies' from them in about 6 Days or so.  The owners manual
is indeed NEW and in great condition. WSP 452 557 00 did not look like a
direct print, although it was copied (I believe) on a very good copy
machine, the diagrams were still crisp and clear, and bound flat like a
single notebook, i.e. no ring binders, or spiral stuff.

Here is the latest updates.

I just called before posting this and here are the results:
WSP 451 556 00	No longer ordered ( though they mentioned if there was a
high enough demand.... )
WSP 452 557 00	Back ordered ( they currently have 6 on back order)
Unknown		Owners manual for 83 Quattro (TQC, Ur-q etc etc) 78 in
stock!!!!

Each is $10 +$4 Shipping and handling

Now the WSP 452 556 00 manual I got from Steve Buchholz who was generous
enough to Xerox a copy for me along with the Electronic/Wiring Document
(unknown part #).  He did this for a very reasonable cost, of course I hate
to put him on out on a limb, so I will offer up to make a copy myself to the
next person.  And I would like to say thanks for helping out a 'New Lister'
although I have been lurking for a number of years I have not posted much as
Stott usually keeps me in 'line'.

Hope this helps people out... and for you 83 Ur-q Owners that don't have an
owners manual (or one in good shape) there are 78 Left!!

83 Ur-q awaiting rebuild

Plans are to have an MC, Complete 86CGT Wiring harness, Fuchs, G60s,
Bilsteins and a driver with a very light wallet

On a side note I don't suppose anyone has a 'spare Ur-q Intercooler they no
longer need'?

		Yes Doug, I know that.  I updated the numbers for the copies
that I send to
		people like you who have asked subsequently.  Scott copied
an old version of
		my message ... the one I initially posted ... which had the
bad number ...

		If you had a bad number you would not have been able to
order one of the
		docs from Dyment ...

		Please do let us know what the copy you ordered looks like
when it comes ...
