    The fuel injectors pull out with the intake manifold in place.

    A/C systems have to be moisture-free to work properly. It is a bad idea
to leave them open for any length of time unless you want to nitrogen purge
and cap the components. Compressors in particular can be badly damaged by
internal corrosion if left open to atmosphere. I suggest you leave your
system closed up until you are ready to work on it.
