that would be fine and dandy except both my 5 cyl coupes peg the oil
pressure gauge any time they are off-idle.  Of course, they are probably
just barely off scale - but that figure is determined by the pressure
bypass thing in the oil pump, which is set at 75 PSI I think - ie about
5 bar.  So a car that consistently reads 4.5 bar (with correct
sender/gauge combo) may have somethine weird going on there.  Of course
a power/ground issue at that gauge would also get you a lower reading.
