yeah jeff, that is a convenient argument for you isn't it?  surely you would
acknowledge that, given the 1-part number nature of the diff, the more
likely explanation for different part numbers is different diffs,
particularly as the diff design has changed significantly over the years (on
the public record), something which you now seem to acknowledge?

wrt chocholek, you seem to be reluctant to call stan the man.  fine, drop me

Different part numbers don't necessarily mean different design ... for
instance, Audi used a lot of different brake rotors through the years but
the
*design* of them is pretty much the same.  Wheels also come in different
sizes and widths but they function in pretty much the same manner
regardless.
 So, what exactly is your point?

BTW, are you *ever* going to give me the name of your source re:
Chocholeck's
job description at Gleason?  It's been four days now...
