There are ways to do it..........but I am sure you wouldn't want to
instrument your car the way it needs be.....
You can put a magnetic pick up on the hsg, which will count the rev. and
calculate the RPM, some what similar to a fly wheel sensor.

    Does anyone know of a reasonable (in cockpit, while driving) way to
measure the rpms of a turbo? I am guessing that there is no good way because
I have never seen it done... But I must give credit to the great and
powerful list...
