Re: Just how hard is a EM R&R on a CGT??



I'd say definitely pull the head.  It's not a difficult thing to do.  Who 
knows, you might find something that made you glad you did it...

Anyway, I just removed the E/M and I/M from my CGT about 4 days ago (head 
and engine already out of car).  Would NOT want to even attempt it in the 
car.  Simply not enough room to see anything.

I'd also go with the 4kq exhaust.  Used manifolds are going for $50 on the 
list, and new downpipes are going for $100.  (Used $50).  If you want to 
keep your existing cat, you'll have to have an OXS bung welded onto the 
downpipe, or switch to the 4kq cat.
