It's not even that simple. the cars are not symmetrical in other ways.
first, some gear must be swapped side to side for a right hand driver,
correct? like the rack... which I'm sure matters to handling.
second, whenever I look under my hood I notice that the engine isn't
even symmetrical, it leans at a weird angle. this has to matter
relative to how the car feels from one side versus the other (why else
do my passengers get scared when I don't?)
It's pretty radical to think that Phil, Dave, et al are sitting behind
the manifold side of the engine while us LHDers are ensconced way over
behind the radiator...
