2000 A6 2.7 quattro 6speed

I just saw one at the local dealer.  I was checking out the new cars and I 
looked in the window and saw a stick, a closer look revealed a 6 speed 
transmission.  I said holy @#$@ a 6 speed A6!  Then I looked around back 
where I saw 2.7T on the trunk lid.  Nice.  Have these been around for a 
while (in the US)?
