Audi 80 Engine Swap?

I'm considering picking up an 1990 80.  The car drives OK, but the
engine has really horrible compression and I was thinking about swapping
it out with the 16 valve engine from the Passat.  Has anyone does this
before?  Do they have the same mounting points?

I also pickued up the 89 100 today.  I love it.  I got a funny story
about (I swear these cars are conscious), but that'll have to wait a
couple days.
