Yes, they do.
Personally I found the regulator a b*tch to replace. To remove the
regulator the plastic alternator shield has to come off first, but you
can't remove it cause the turbocharger oil return line is in the way. I had
to remove the alternator do to this. Maybe there's a trick to do this in an
easier way, I don't know.
Also, beware of cheap replacement regulators. When I had my alternator
rebuilt last time I also decided to install a new regulator for a peace of
mind. I bought an aftermarket German regulator of an unknown brand. It
failed within a year. I put the old Bosch regulator back and it still works
fine.
