    Well my 80 is a 4 cylinder, 3 speed auto.  I have taken long trips from
Boston to the top of VT.  I would run the car at 5,500rpm for extended
periods of time, 3-4 hours sometimes.  When I stopped I always let the
engine run for 5 minutes at idle.  Never had any problems carrying that rpm
for that long, car never felt like it was angry.  Just gotta watch out for
the pigs, always hassling the man!
