Re: Audi 80 Engine Swap?

Using VW engines in Audi apps isn't that hard, but there are problems.
Transverse vs. longitudionally mounted. Fuel system are different. Javad,
he probably doesn't have an I5, Audi 80 non-q has 4 cylinder 8v. My car has
the I4 stock 108bhp 112torque(I think) 10.5:1 compression. It would be nice
to have the Passat 16v in my car, and it is possible because Audi did it in
europe, Audi 80 Sport 2.0. Same exact engine as a Passat 16v, just mounted
differently, so I would assume that mounting the engine up in a 4 cylinder
80 would not be that tough. Although I could be completely wrong, just
tossing in my sherlock holmes deductions. Also I have pics from Ti Kan's
website of the Audi 80 Sport 2.0 sitting next to a Passat 16v hoods off for
comparison. It can be found at his site or I can send one to you if you
want.

Thanks!
