Re: Heat Cycling New Pads?

I agree. I've heard Pagid brake pads mentioned several times. These must
be good brakes. I've got sources for both Porterfield and Pagid, which I'll
contact tomorrow. I have also heard really good things about Porterfield.
>From my observations, Ferodo have been around for a long time (I see their
banners trackside on Speedvision's Legends of Motorsport coverage of 1960s
Grand Prix at European circuits). But I have heard that Ferodo pads (maybe
like Metalmasters) are hard on rotors. But then again, its interesting how
such "wisdom" is based on hearsay and not on objective comparisons. Anyway,
we'll see what happens next. I'll be at the Audi Quattro Club Northwest
event at Portland in a couple of weeks, and I plan to push the (new) brake
pads hard again.

84 4kq (will get Porterfield or Pagid pads)
67 Lotus Elan (maybe the 'classic' Ferodo pads)
