Re: Xenon lights, help?
Personally I think that Audi can't really aim their lights any higher because
if they did it would cause to much glare for oncoming drivers because these
lights are so bright. I was driving toward one from the side last night and
I was amazed at how much it looked like there was a small sun heading toward
me (he was up on a hill I was on the bottom). Maybe it is the government or
something limiting them but I think they may actually have a good reason. I
have driven BMW's with this system and it seems to work really well and the
lights don't seem to "flicker" as they do with the Audi's. The most
impressive I have scene is the Mercedes S series. I was driving next to one
of these and he was lighting the road way beyond what my super white dot's
and my compact driving lights could and that is a lot of lighting from my
car. Maybe Audi just needs to find a new combo to make these things work
right. Also the Passat version sold in Germany seems to be better than the
versions we get here from what I can see looks like even higher quality.
Just some thoughts I wanted to share.
