People altering their cars (was Type 44 rear sway bar)

In a message dated 99-10-23 15:54:42 EDT, you write:

<< I seem to remember someone (Shine racing) proclaiming that by
disconnecting
the front and rear swaybars on a 4000CSQ and raising the front of the car by
1/2 a foot, the car would handle better.

 To which I replied...
Handle better than what? A dump truck?

And I got flamed. In any event, modifying your car is all dependant on what
you do. For example, I installed the coil over suspension in my car because
I am more concerned with track performance than comfort levels, especially
of
passengers (my girlfriend doesn;t like the car's ride much...). On a track,
stiffer in most cases is better. But I would never recommend the suspension
setup that I have to someone who is only going to drive their car only on
the
street, because it's just way to stiff.

Do whatever you want to your car, because it's yours. But don't waste your
time telling others that their wrong based on what they do. I've already
had
several people tell me that my car is too low. It's not. Actually, I could
lower it another 2 inches. Right now, you can almost see the tops of the
tires. But the point is, I like it.

 Later! To each his own!
