Re: 1.8t in4000?

Find me a factory new MC motor and I would consider comparing the 1.8T
to the MC. Sure one could use an MC, 3B, AAN, but none of the those motors
can be obtained new with all the goodies I can get for $3600. I heard of an
AAN that I was trying to get, low mileage, 40,000miles, just the engine
alone was $5500. That didn't include shipping to me, or anything but the
motor and attached parts. Ridiculous, grab a 1.8T with everything but the
alternator and starter, fabricate motor mounts, do the wiring myself, buy
alternator + starter, upgrade to K04 and bingo. Do the grunt work myself
with help from local shop and german friend. Yeeeha!

Thanks!
