which is why Alex's email caught my attention. One of the principal
flaws (I think?) in the small old Audis is that the fifth cylinder is
added in front of everyhting else. Way out in front of the front axles,
etc. screws up weight balance, practically sticks out the grille.
The idea of a 4 cyl T cranking out all those hp doesn't sound so bad,
esp since it *has* to save a bunch of weight, and saves it exactly where
my car needs it saved!
So it needs 2 custom engine brackets, a bunch of holes drilled in the
tranny housing (!?), the harness hooked up to the fuse box and the fuel
lines to the car. Probably a bunch of "little" fitment issues all over,
which might involve a half dozen custom brackets.
but since Santa is unlikely to leave one behind in NH this December, I
will prolly never find out...

82 Audi Coupe; 84 4kq; 85 Coupe GT; 73 F250: it cost less than one
complete 1.8t engine to buy *all* of these vehicles... but not to keep
them running!
