The joys of a Type44 (Part 2)

Heater core blew out today at speed (!) on the A14.  Instant fog and
a spray of scalding water into the (fortunately empty) passenger
footwell.

A new core will be here in the morning, and a new adhesive gasket.

Anyone got the procedure up on a URL?  ISTR something about steak knives
...

(The car has after-market air conditioning, so the heater controls
 are of the three rotary knob type. FWIW.)
