12 valve coolant for A4

Any ideas on the coolant for the ' 96 A4 12 valve? It doesn't have that new
pink stuff they are sticking in all the new cars. Should I just use any old
stuff, drain it and put in the pink (cotton candy looking) stuff, or is
there something else? I realize that with the glycol (sp?) it should be
50/50 mix with water. What about the new stuff? I haven't changed it ever
(not sure if the dealer did either under warranty) and figure it would be a
good idea with winter a-commin.
