RE: Front brakes for 88 80Q?
James
I have heard good things about ATE discs although no BTDT as yet. I am thinking about upgrading the brakes on my '85 Coupe Q which will be similar if not the same as yours. My conclusions so far would be:
1. OEM from Audi are pretty cheap now, and if you don't upgrade then I would buy these and not mess around with anything else.
2. Go for slotted discs which will improve braking performance
3. Go for cross drilled discs which will improve performance.
Like you I don't race my on the track but I do like to USE it when possible and have some fun, so I would probably go for the cross drilled option, good enough for Porsche should be good enough for me.!!!!!!
As the saying goes. One mans meat is another's poison.

Subject: Front brakes for 88 80Q?
My rotors and pads need replacing soon, any suggestions for good quality
after-market ones? Low dust would be a plus, average use, not race-track,
but at least OEM level performance required!
Any and all suggestions welcomed!
Thanks,
Jim
