To me, it appeared as if the crossover that came with the car in the door is
only a 2 channel output (I believe the stock in-dash speaker is a full
range). If you are installing 3 new speakers in the stock location, you are
better off using the crossover that came with the speakers anyway... If they
all came in the same box, the crossover was designed for those speakers...
The cutoff frequencies in the stock crossover and an aftermarket crossover
are different.
Sounds like you are going to have to do one of 2 things:
1. Mount the crossover in the door: This will involve running one input into
the door to the crossover, and one output back out the door to the in-dash
speaker. (The other 2 outputs stay in the door).
2. Mount the crossover in the car: You only have to run the 2 outputs into
the door for the 6" and the tweeter...
